Brazil Music Exchange, a project conducted by BM&A,

works to stimulate, as the name suggests, activities and exchanges of experience in the musical market.

With a specialized team composed of professionals from BM&A, and an extensive list of contacts,

Brazil Music Exchange brings to the music scene a new business vision, enabling actions for the development of the market’s potential.

BR Music Exchange blog reported previously that the BM&A managed facilities for Brazilian companies interested in joining the Womex 2011, the fair music that takes place annually in Denmark. Coming back to this event, which will take place in Copenhagen between 26 and 30 October, we announced the participation of the bands Matuto and Baiana System in its line up.

Sponsored by Filter Magazine, the festival Culture Collide hosts its second edition in October in Los Angeles, California. It will be five days (5 to 9 Oct) of shows with artists from over 23 different countries. So far the line up has Lindstrøm (Norway), Liam Finn (New Zealand), Isobel Campbell (Scotland), Buck 65 (Canada), Jason Falkner (USA), Rainbow Arabia (USA) Suave as Hell (Mexico) and many others.

For now, Brazil is represented by São Paulo’s CSS (Cansei de Ser Sexy). But the festival must announce two other Brazilian names, thanks to an action promoted by BM&A.

BAFIM exists since 2006. It’s the leading fair of business and trends in Latin America and brings together in the same space from small labels to major record labels, and also new artists and important bands and more of one hundred thousand visitors. Since 2008, is part of the agreement between BM & A and the Government of Buenos Aires, which ensures a privileged space for booth and at least three Brazilian bands selected for shows such as occurred in 2008 and 2009, in its latest edition.

This year we will be again in the event and we are already preparing a virtual CD with the best of the national music. In 2009, the Brazilian presence in the Argentinian fair had 15 companies and three artists: Andreia Dias (São Paulo), Dona Zefinha (Ceará) e Zé da Guiomar (Minas Gerais). Futhermore, we held a lecture with four international guests who participated in the project Comprador & Imagem: Peter Autuori, Aya Ohio, Brian Keigher and Alex Robinson. In this edition, the Brazilian night will be held in the opening ceremony, on September 15 at Niceto Club.
