NIGUN - The band alloys traditional Jewish music with jazz and free-improvisative elements. The music texture resulted from this fusion is characterized by both melodic turns of Jewish music and improvisative elements. Nigun?s music is strongly spiritual and unique in Europe. According to András Párniczky, leader of the band, the most important thing in this music is to let people experience the sacral content of Jewish music through their arrangements. Until now, Párniczky has led several jazz bands, then later he immersed himself in the music of John Zorn?s Masada, Zamir's Satlah and the traditional Jewish Hasid tunes. In 2001 he got back to his roots and found the path to follow: founded Nigun.
