Forgetting calmness in speed, love in talk, joy in silence, silence in scream, death in life...

Feeling distant to injustice, iniquity, sorrow and war, losing sense and memory.

Referring to that repeating state of mind is the reason why the album is entitled "You are no fish".

Beginning in 2006, with the release of the debut album "Ev - Home" by Baykus Music, Gevende has been spending their time being intense yet calm. The interest they attract has been steadily growing with each concert, project and musical collaborators.  Now, they take another large step forward with their new album.

"Sen Balık Değilsin ki" is a sensory feast of musical of voyages extending from London through Kathmandu; through numerous projects; the dense night of Istanbul; exciting collaborations; constant production, all carried along by the heady breezes of creativity. And  so we have this album that has emerged as a result of this prolonged work with producer Sinan Sakızlı, conducted in order to convert this process into voices and music with the soundest manner.

All sounds heard on the album are by Gevende. The sole guest musician is word acclaimed guitarist Eivind Aarset.

"Sen Balık Değilsin ki" is an album devoted to the themes of friendship, time, silence, evolution and memory...
