12-TIME GRAMMY AWARD WINNER CHICK COREA REJOINS KURLAND AGENCYElektric Band and Touchstone are first projects unleashed through TKA

BOSTON, MA (9/23/2004) -- Music innovator, composer and keyboardist,Chick Corea is once again with Ted Kurland Associates. TKA will bebooking Chick worldwide on an exclusive basis.

The four decade career of Chick Corea is the stuff of jazz lore, anamalgamation of influential, limit-stretching musical experienceswhich have filled many a page in 20th century music historyencyclopedias and garnered him 12 Grammy awards.

Chick recently reunited the groundbreaking and genre-bending ElektricBand for the recording and touring of the new project, TO THE STARS,which has already gathered acclaimed as one of Chick's finest musicalworks. Their United States tour was capped by 6 day engagement atCatalina's in Los Angeles where, on Sunday night, the star-studdedaudience included long-time fan, Stevie Wonder, who was also enticedto sit in with the band.

TKA is excited to join Chick at this exciting juncture in his career. Aspectacular range of projects are planned for the 2004-2006 seasonsfrom solo and duo to his staggering ensembles of virtuoso musicians;from his dynamic acoustic and electric bands to majestic symphonicsettings. In addition to his Elektric Band reunion tour, Chick andmembers of Paco De Lucia's band team up for a new Touchstone project.He will also be working with Bobby McFerrin on another collaboration,and in the summer of 2006 Chick will premiere his new piano Concertocelebrating the 250th anniversary.
