Highly acclaimed jazz trombonist Wycliffe Gordon enjoys an extraordinary career as a soloist and recording artist, performing and touring the globe with some of the world's most sought-after jazz musicians.  His high-energy, traditional hard-swinging style captivates audiences across time. 

Wycliffe's plunger and vocalizing technique is undeniably unmatched, and he is described as "an inventor of a compendium of original techniques that have expanded the vocabulary of jazz--enabling the production of sounds like those of motor vehicles, choirs, human voices, and wildlife of all types and sizes."    

He is one of America's foremost music educators touring year-round giving master classes and clinics in all settings, and is making a name for himself as a most sought-after composer as well.  He has hundreds of compositions to his credit including the original soundtrack to the silent film "Body and Soul" as well as many other commissioned works and collaborations with well-known artists and venues.
